Campi ya Kanzi

Campi ya Kanzi is an award-winning boutique eco-lodge in the Chyulu Hills of southern Kenya, set in the heart of Ernest Hemingway’s “Green Hills of Africa”.

OVERVIEW

Campi ya Kanzi is a luxury safari camp offering an incomparable combination of 5-star luxury, first-class wilderness adventure, amazing wildlife, and an authentic immersion into Maasai culture.

Built in partnership with the Maasai community of the 283,000-acre Kuku Group Ranch in 1998, Campi ya Kanzi swiftly became a labour of love for Italian couple Luca and Antonella, having swapped the family’s Italian vineyard for the African bush. Campi ya Kanzi is now their home and the couple even raised their three children here.

There are two luxury tented suites (Hemingway and Simba) and six luxury cottages, all with ensuite bathrooms, organic bath products and the finest Italian bed linens, naturally. A pioneer of sustainable and socially responsible tourism in Kenya, Campi ya Kanzi is 100% solar and carbon-neutral.

With a firm commitment to community development and environmental sustainability, the team has been instrumental in setting up the local clinic, school and library. The success of this life-long project is the result of engaging local Maasai in benefiting from the wilderness with thriving wildlife.

Offering luxurious comfort, thrilling outdoor adventure, memorable wildlife encounters, and an authentic connection to the Maasai people, as well as breathtaking Kilimanjaro views, Campi ya Kanzi really does have all the ingredients for a once-in-a-lifetime safari.
