Set on the lush slopes of Olmoti Volcano, within easy reach of Ngorongoro, The Highlands has staggering views all the way to the Serengeti.
OVERVIEW
The eight unusual, domed canvas and perspex suites are unlike any other safari tent, but equipped with wood burning stoves and panoramic views, they are the ideal solution for this cool, high altitude location. Ensuite bathrooms with piping hot showers are very much welcomed after a day of exploration, as are drinks around the camp fire.
Excursions are on foot or in safari vehicles: climb the slopes of the Olmoti Volcano, take a half-day trip to the soda lake in Empakaai Crater or drive to the crater floor of Ngorongoro to see the dizzying concentration of wildlife.
